Sunny site of ITK: More than numbers

I make sure everything at the Barcelona office comes together.

My role largely revolves around managing office operations, a task I’ve embraced with both hands since our early days. This involves managing budgeting, overseeing the recruitment process, and meeting business objectives, among other tasks. However, it’s not just about numbers and targets for me. Ensuring my team feels motivated and fostering a pleasant work atmosphere is equally important.
At ITK Spain in Barcelona, our growth speaks volumes. Starting with just five of us in 2018, we expanded to 25 by 2019. By 2022, we grew even more, to a team of almost 60. This growth isn’t just about the figures – it’s about the pride we take in our work and the trust that has been put in us.

ITK culture means focus on innovation.
And the people.

When working for ITK for 6 months in Germany, I truly experienced what the corporate culture was all about. The collegiality and the way the company values both the task at hand and its employees deeply resonated with me. It was this genuine appreciation and the environment that made me decide to stay with ITK and actively participate in the growth of ITK Spain.

Stepping into the role of a site manager at the Barcelona office came with its own set of challenges. From ensuring quality on projects to managing unexpected site issues and leading a diverse team, every day has its hurdles. However, the flexibility at ITK and having a team always eager for new projects have made these challenges manageable. The balance of culture, tackling challenges, and strong teamwork are what has anchored me at ITK.

ITK knows that the most important part of their business are the people.

Team spirit and balanced growth.

When I started at ITK, we were just a small team of five. Those early days were special. We didn’t only work together but also went on fun events – like the time we went kayaking. However, it wasn’t just about the fun; it was about building trust and understanding. That team spirit is still strong today, even as we’ve grown.

Personally, I enjoy spending time away from the city’s hustle. My favorite place is situated close to both the beach and the mountains. Here, I can recharge through swimming and hiking, as maintaining a balanced work-life is crucial for me.
